Obituary of Andrew B. Horezga

Andrew B. Horezga was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and lived in South Amboy, New Jersey, his entire life. He graduated with honors from St. Mary’s High School, where he served as captain of the hockey team. He later attended Rutgers University–New Brunswick at Cook College.

Andrew pursued his love of knowledge and education in many ways throughout his life and eventually became a skilled woodworker, entrepreneur, and patent-holding inventor.

Andrew was gregarious, creative, intensely curious, and naturally gifted. He had a way of making everyone around him genuinely smile and share in his humor and warmth. Andrew enjoyed rigorous exercise and eventually took up boxing and bodybuilding, becoming exceptionally strong and fit. He taught himself how to demolish a house and build a home to restore his family residence after Hurricane Sandy.

He was predeceased by his father, Walter L. Horezga.

Andrew is survived by his mother, Mary Horezga; his siblings, Walter B. Horezga (wife, Renee Krupa, and daughter, Eliana Krupa), Mary A. Horezga, Joseph B. Horezga (wife, Megan Arico-Horezga), and Theresa Horezga (husband and Andrew’s close friend, Edward Leung); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, New Jersey. A prayer service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
