Obituary of Dominick F. D'Ambra

Dominick F. D’Ambra, 74, of Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Mira Vie at Forsgate.
 
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Dominick spent most of his life in Staten Island. He was a bus mechanic for the New York City Transit Authority for over 30 years and took pride in his work.

Dominick was a car enthusiast who loved stock cars and built an impressive custom slot car track in his basement. He loved music and playing the drums and if The Twist came on, there was no stopping him. Known for being handy, he loved putting together model cars and tinkering away in the garage. 
Dominick is survived by his three daughters, three granddaughters and two grandsons and will be missed dearly.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, NJ.  A funeral service will follow, beginning at 5:00 pm.
