Obituary of Leocadia Velez

Leocadia Velez, 85, of Hightstown, NJ, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ. 

Born in Yabucoa, Mrs. Velez resided in Hightstown for over 40 years. She worked for the Shiseido Cosmetic & Fragrance Company of East Windsor for 29 years before her retirement.

Predeceased by her parents and her husband, she is survived by her brother, Jesus Silva and many nieces and nephews, including Yolanda, Margarette, Sarah, Jennifer, Louis, Efraim, Tony and Louis.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ. A Catholic Blessing will be held at 11:45 a.m. and a family prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hightstown, NJ.
