Obituary of Maureen Keane

Maureen (Haughton) Keane, 91, of East Windsor, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at her home in East Windsor.

Born in Wicklow, Ireland, Mrs. Keane came to the USA as a young girl. She was raised and lived in New York City for many years. She traveled the country and the world due to her late husband, John’s career, having lived in many places including Atlanta, Georgia and Japan. They returned to Manhattan for several years before retiring to East Windsor in 1985.

Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Rose (Flynn) Haughton; her husband, John L. Keane; her daughters, Tara and Roseann; and her brothers, Richard and Patrick; she is survived by her children, Colleen and Kevin; her grandchildren, Morgan, Megan, Francis, Ryan, and Kerry; her great-grandchild, Kailey; and her brother, “Desi”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 10:30 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hightstown, NJ.
