Obituary of Robert J. O'Donnell
Robert J. O’Donnell, 46, of Roosevelt, has passed away unexpectedly in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin, and was loved by all for his warm smile, bear hugs, clever wit, and heart of gold.
Born in Edison, Bob was raised in Millstone Township where he attended elementary school. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, Class of ’94, where he was a member of the varsity football and bowling teams. Following high school, he attended Brookdale Community College where he earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. Bob went on to love his work of many years driving 18-wheelers throughout the tri-state area and later found his true passion for helping others in the recovery community.
In his younger years Bob loved fishing and boating in the Assunpink Wildlife refuge, and after marrying in 2002, enjoyed many years of traveling and camping with his family in their RV. Some of Bob’s favorite things were the History Channel, the Green Bay Packers, Jimmy Buffet, the Eagles, watching any Rocky movie, and the beach.
Above all else, Bob loved his children, Liam and Morgan, and supported them in all their extracurricular pursuits, including Irish step dancing, cheer, football, and wrestling. He was also a devoted dog dad to his pups across the years: Bailey, Lucky, Guinness, and Iris.
Predeceased by his grandparents, William and Maureen McCaffrey, and J.
