Obituary of Sally M. Pacuta
Sally M. Pacuta, 95, of Newtown, PA, formerly of East Windsor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA.
Born in The Bronx, New York, Mrs. Pacuta was raised on family farms in Perrineville and Cranbury, before marrying and settling in Bordentown. She lived in East Windsor for many years before moving to Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Pacuta worked in the Foreign Patents Office of RCA and General Electric for many years. She made many dear lifelong friends there. Her life’s focus was her family, whom she loved deeply and assiduously. Hosting parties and family events was her forte. Mrs. Pacuta loved entertaining family, friends, and neighbors for any and all occasions. Her Christmas cookies were legendary with multiple generations. She was proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed trips to Italy. She also traveled throughout the USA, Canada, Europe, and Israel. She loved the arts, theater, and music in all its forms from opera and classical to standards, rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and world music.
Devoted to her family, Mrs. Pacuta will be fondly remembered for her loving and generous spirit, her unconditional acceptance of others, and her quiet strength.
Predeceased by her parents, Paolina and Vincenzo Conca; her first husband, Salvatore Orlando; her husband, John F. Pacuta; her step-son, John Pacuta, Jr.; and her siblings, Fannie, Nick, and Frances; she is survived by her children and their spouses, Ronald and Andrea Orlando, Michael Orlando and Kathleen Estenes, and Frances Orlando and Frank Pronesti; her grandchildren, Dylan Orlando and his wife, Daniela Barbosa, Emily Lakin, Gabriel Pronesti and his husband, Jason Morrison, and Allegra Pronesti and their partner, Silas Birch; her great granddaughter, Ramona; her step daughter-in-law, Susan Pacuta; her step grandchildren, John Pacuta, III and his wife Melissa, Christine Pacuta, and Joshua Pacuta; her step greatgrandson, John Pacuta, IV; and her extended family.
Visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 156 Maxwell Ave., Hightstown, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hightstown, NJ.
