Obituary of Patrick A. Tweedly
Patrick A. Tweedly, 45, of Island Heights, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Patrick lived in Hamilton Township before moving to Monroe Township, and later to Island Heights. Patrick was very patriotic and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps receiving three distinguished service awards: Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Medal, and Rifle Marksman Badge. He also had the honor of being on the President’s Military Detail - White House. Patrick also contributed to the Montgomery GI Bill: Good Conduct Medal Period Commences: 951024. USMC-11. NONCO. IMPROVISE, ADAPT, and OVERCOME! Semper Fi!
He went on to work in the security department of Capital Health Regional Medical Center-Fuld in Trenton and was currently the Assistant Director of Security. Patrick was a football coach for Monroe Township and was the captain of his high school football team. A true leader. TRUMP 2024!
Patrick will be remembered for his caring, loving, selfless ways. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. His kind demeanor allowed him to make friends wherever he went. His smile was contagious!
Predeceased by his father, Paul S. Tweedly; he is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Williamson) Tweedly; his mother, Ellen Tweedly; his stepsons, Thomas and Dominic Micalizzi; his siblings and their spouses, Paul and Janice Tweedly, Kelly Tweedly and Gene Reagan; his nieces and nephews, Kennedy, Gregory, Jennifer, Anthony, and Nicholas; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tulia and John Micalizzi; his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patricia, James, Arthur, and Tim; his great-niece, Julia; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
Prayers will be offered at 3:45 p.m. and Military Honors will be offered at 8:00 p.m.
Cremation will be private.
