Obituary of Patti E. Amor

Patti Amor, 74, of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away peacefully shortly after midnight on October 11, 2023, after a year and a half long battle with Bladder Cancer. A gathering of friends and family will be held at her residence on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.  All are welcome.

Patti grew up in North Haledon, NJ, graduated from Syracuse University in NY, moved to Paterson, NJ and then to Lakewood, NJ with her children.  She earned her master’s degree from Seton Hall University in NJ, and eventually resided in Monroe Township, NJ.  Patti utilized her people and leadership skills to enjoy a rewarding and successful career in Family Court, retiring as an Assistant Division Manager in Mercer County.

Patti was the oldest of three siblings, born to Margaret and Stan (predeceased) and is survived by her brothers, Kenn (Robyn) and Scott (Corrinne).  She leaves behind her significant other, Tom; as well as a legacy of three children, Nathan (Tara), Jared (Kristen), and Sarah (Albert); four grandchildren, Heather (Nathan), Jason (Nathan), Emilie (Sarah), and Vincent (Nathan); three great-grandchildren, John (Heather), Krista (Jason), and Nova (Heather); and her beloved cat, Tangerine.

Patti was an accomplished artist, earning multiple awards throughout her lifetime.  She had a passion for nature conservation, human rights, a love for animals, and was well known as a “bleeding heart” due to her many philanthropic donations to her favorite causes.  Patti was a member of Mensa, served on its local committee, and enjoyed being able to use her artistic talents to contribute to her local chapter.  Patti was gifted in the art of listening and understanding.  She was a wonderful friend and knew how to make a person feel validated and seen.  She was so proud of her family and took every opportunity to gush about them to all who would listen.  She had the best smile.
