Uncle Carl was the embodiment of love - if you needed something he would do anything to make sure you had it. When I visited Grandma one summer I wanted to take her couch and chair, which was originally her mother’s, back to Kentucky. Uncle Carl went with me to Aunt Sally’s to get the chair and then he and Uncle Richard secured all the furniture in my car. He didn’t have to do that but because it was important to me he did it. That same devotion and love was offered freely again when my dad, his brother died. Uncle Carl helped me walk up to the casket, which took 3 times. He let me take as much time as I needed - he waited for me to be ready. He also provided the meal at the firehouse after my dad’s funeral. May you be at peace Uncle Carl and may you know you touched so many lives with your never ending kindnesses and compassion. You made a difference in the world. To Aunt Trudy, Cathy, Carl and Cindi may God comfort you during this most overwhelming loss of your husband and your father. My prayers will be with you all in the coming days. All my love, Patti Dye Collins
