Obituary of Theresa Macco

TheresaAnn (Baliatico) Macco, 59, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 28, 2023, with her husband, Bill, by her side holding her hand.

Born and raised in North Bergen, Theresa and Bill have resided in East Windsor, shared twenty-one years of marriage and were blessed with a daughter, Aislynn.

She was a graduate of Seton Hall University where she received her bachelors in nursing. Theresa was employed with St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark for 37 years, where she first served as a Registered Nurse.  In later years, she was the Lead Nurse in the Cardiac-Thoracic ICU at the hospital. Over the years, she particularly enjoyed working with those she precepted and provided selfless care to patients with those who she spent a lifetime working together at the hospital.  

Theresa used her knowledge as a critical care nurse, became a nine-year warrior to fight her ovarian cancer diagnosis, all the while, she maintained the gratitude, caring, and love for others.  

The most important thing in Theresa’s life was family.  Theresa’s impact on the lives of those lucky to have known her, or anyone who spent any time with and around her will live on.   She will be greatly missed, and will remain in our hearts forever. 

Theresa was predeceased by her mother, Katherine (Sullivan) Baliatico; she leaves behind her husband, William T. Macco; her daughter, Aislynn E. Macco; her father, Louis Baliatico; her brother, Michael Baliatico and his wife, Sandy; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at St. David the King R.C. Church, 1 New Village Road, Princeton Junction, New Jersey, 08550.

Cremation was private.
