David and all his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. I am a first cousin of his grandmother Dottie Carroll in Gloucester MA.. I had never met David but after reading his obituary and comments from his friends, I feel we missed meeting a very special, kind and loving person on our family tree. My heart hurts for my family right now. Mike, Mary, and Robert I’m so deeply sorry you’re dealing with this pain right now. Nothing I do or say can make this any easier but just remember I love you all so much. David was my cousin, we lived far away from each other so we didn’t get to spend as much time together as I would’ve liked. I do have lot of memories at my grandparents house when we were little, boy were we some crazy kids. But, grandma loved us both so dearly because we were special in our own ways. I was very outgoing and had a lot of trouble listening to anyone who tried to tell me what to do. David wasn’t as outgoing but also had trouble listening. But, when Grandma put her foot down we both would back down so easy. We would run around her house until we wore ourselves out and then laid down with grandma before bed because we both needed extra love and she knew that. David was different in so many ways, but aren’t we all? We really had so much in common but just different personalities. We were both so close to our mother and father and neither of us could spend anytime away without feeling homesick or out of place. Just because David was a little different doesn’t mean anything to me. I know for a fact he was happy and he walked through the world not caring what anyone thought because it just didn’t matter to him. I think we all could learn a lot about life if we just learned how to be just a little bit like David was. The world would be a better place if all of us had the same outlook on life as he did. The imagination and pure joy he had living a simple life with loved ones. We all live so fast and miss so much but not David. He enjoyed all the simple things in life and spending time with his older brother and parents. They say the good die young, ain’t that the truth… You’ll be missed dearly by many of us. It’s comforting to know my father and grandparents will be waiting to take your hand and fly high in paradise. I promise you, your mom and dad will never be alone. Until we meet again, rest peacefully David.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing David, but I have known and worked with his father at various times over the last thirty years. My deepest sympathies to David's entire family; I am so sorry for your loss. I wish for all good to unfold for you, even in this time of terrible grief.

I never met David but I'm sure he was a great guy. He was a handsome young man. My sincere sympathy to the family. I'm a cousin of Davis's Dad.

Thank you Brian. The worst glassblowing student ever. But a hell of a Physicist and joy to work with....A new theory to work on: Memories are particles, that create love's strong force. Sure makes more sense then String Theory

You and Diane have and always will be such a strong presence.Hated to see you leave. We have been Cubs/Brewers Packers/Bears rivals But somehow merged as combat buddies with partners who holds the key that opens our heart. Where would we be without them?
